SAI Rose Run 2016 ... Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Why run with us?
We are providing you with a virtual 5K event that you can run anywhere while supporting our cherished sisterhood! One of the great things about races is the community and energy that they provide, and we know how important community and the fellowship of sisterhood is! We will work hard to replicate that virtually through emails, Facebook, and other social media. We encourage you to interact with us and other runners as much as interests you, especially by using the hashtag #SAIRoseRun2016.
In addition to a great community, we have awesome swag! Our medals are specially designed for this race to look like a rose with the name across the top. They are antiqued gold in color and harnessed on a red and white ribbon to complete the SAI look! There also are two prizes available!
We also know there is a health aspect to running, and that music often fuels us through the race. This excites us and wants us to help you get more fit and better prepared for your next race, whatever it might be! We are honored to be a part of your journey and hope you will share what you are listening to with us through social media when you participate!
What is a virtual race?
A virtual race is a race that can be ran at any location. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race. You can run your race at your pace wherever you like.
How does a virtual race work?
A virtual race can be done at any venue that you wish. You can walk, jog, skip, or run the distance of your choice. You can complete your race at the gym on a treadmill, a practice run in town, a stroll in the park, or another local racing event. As sisters, we believe in the honor system so no proof is required for your race, but it would be awesome if you could upload pictures and tell us about your experience by tagging us on social media using #SAIRoseRun2016. Every participating sister will receive a 2″ SAI Rose Run 2016 medal in antiqued gold, harnessed on a red and white ribbon that will ship upon completion of the run.
Who can participate?
Every and any SAI Sister! There is no age limit and there are no restrictions. So run, jog, walk, crawl, run alone, run in a group, run with your pet, bike, hike, it doesn’t matter. Just get out there and get moving!
